Review: Blades of Glory

Blades of Glory is a solid comedy in the tradition of Dodgeball. There are plenty of absurdly hilarious gags, though figure skating is such an easy target to begin with.

Will Ferrell is funny in an 80s cheeseball type of role. Jon Heder plays pretty much his usual nerd character. Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are good as the freaky rival pair. Finally, there’s the requisite cameos by Luke Wilson, Andy Richter, and just about every real figure skater under the sun.

If you like Ferrell and the Frat Pack brand of humor, then you won’t be disappointed. If not, there’s nothing new here that will change your mind.
