Spider-Man TV Intros 1967-2007

The third installment of the Spider-Man movie franchise hits theaters this week, but before Spider-Man was a big time movie star, he started out on TV. Let's take a look back at Spider-Man's history on the small screen.

Beginning with the original 1967 cartoon, Spider-Man has been on TV in some form every decade since. Along the way, we'll encounter the live action 70s show, the truly bizarre Japanese series, and the popular 80s Saturday morning cartoon.

Currently, a new animated series is in the works for 2008, no doubt propelled by the momentum of Spider-Man 3.

  • Wow, thanks for the trip down memory lane. I remember thinking this show was kind of lame when I was 7 or 8 years old, but I always talked myself into it because ... it was spider-man!! The younger geeks have it so easy now. Back in the old days it wasn't so easy get your hero fixes on screen.
