Review: Spider-Man 3

I’ll keep this brief. Spider-Man 3 was ok. Sam Raimi just crammed too much into the movie and many plot points felt rushed. I enjoyed the fight scenes and even “Dark Peter” was somewhat amusing; however, there weren’t enough fights or Venom scenes and the ending was less than satisfying.

A big problem was that Venom was introduced so late into the movie. Again, this is because so much was crammed in like the Sandman origin, Harry, Brock, and relationship woes. Venom really should have been a bigger part of the movie or at the very least had 1 more fight scene instead of just the finale.

In summary,

Too Many: whiney scenes, sappy speeches, coincidences (18 different love triangles was not necessary)

Too Little: fighting, Venom

P.S. I also didn’t buy that MJ was blackmailed by Harry into dumping Peter. That seemed especially stupid to me.
