Lost Season 3 Finale - Through the Looking Glass

The Lost Season 3 Finale was well done, enjoyable and at times intense. Not a whole lot of answers were given, but it seems like a road map to a conclusion has finally been set up. Expectedly, tons of new questions were raised.
*** SPOILERS ***

Flash Forward
- The big twist of the finale was revealing the flash-forward, the first one used in Lost. We are now dealing with 3 different time frames. The present on the Island, the past in flashbacks, and the future in flash-forwards. We know that Jack and Kate get off the island, but we don’t know how or who else made it off.
- In Jack’s flash-forwards, Jack is shown to be extremely depressed and an alcoholic like his father. He implies a couple times that his father is still alive. How can that be? Is he hallucinating?
- Who is it that died in Jack’s flash-forward? Locke? Sawyer? Why didn’t anyone go to the funeral?
- What is the lie Jack refers to when he meets Kate at the airport? It’s an interesting twist that Jack now desperately wants to go back to the Island.

Charlie
- The other big not-so-shocking event was Charlie’s death. This was foreshadowed all season by Desmond’s “flashes” and in the end Charlie got a pretty heroic death. This seems in part to have been done by the writers because there was not much further they could take the character.
- Going forward, will Desmond continue to have flashes of the future? If so, who will it focus on?
- How many times can Mikhail cheat death? Is he indestructible? He appears to have blown himself up at the end when he used to grenade on the station. There’s no way he could have gotten far enough away to survive the blast, is there?

- Where was Penny broadcasting from? What happened to her rescue team that we saw in the Season 2 Finale? They haven’t accomplished anything in a full season?
- The keypad code for the jamming equipment was the song “Good Vibrations” by The Beach Boys. They did something similar in that cinematic masterpiece Short Circuit 2 to transmit messages with short musical clues dialed on a phone. One song I remember they used was “Help Me, Rhonda” also by The Beach Boys. Any connection? Too nerdy?

Everything Else
- Who is Naomi working for? What is her and her group’s connection to Penny? Does Ben actually know or does he just want to prevent any outsiders discovering the Island?
- Revealing Naomi’s lie and the flash-forwards indicate that the survivors aren’t dead and in some kind of Purgatory or Hell.
- Why did Locke have a vision of Walt?
- Will they ever explain what happened to Michael and Walt?
- Hurley was able to start the DHARMA van again and it still had gas. Where did Hurley keep the van until now?
- Why didn’t Tom shoot Sayid, Jin, and Bernard? He says Ben has lost it. Was he going to betray Ben also?
- There still hasn’t been a full explanation of who the Others are. We know that they were on the island before the DHARMA initiative arrived and that Ben joined them.
- We got no further explanation of Jacob.
- The lack of more DHARMA and Hanso stuff was disappointing.

Great season finale! Definitely some wicked mind games. Haven’t quite figured out where they are going, so it has accomplished it’s goal. That is -keeping me tuned in when the next season starts. I liked the end. I have been reading that the castaways are in some kind of weird time loop maybe. Because remember when Charlie heard that the computer was programmed by a musician? Like some kind of weird Deja Vu?
SOME ANSWERS PLEASE!!!!
