2007 MTV Movie Awards

Sarah Silverman brought her sarcastic brand of offensive humor to the MTV Movie Awards. There were some amusing moments that are all certainly on YouTube by now.

Pirates 2 won Best Movie and Johnny Depp got Best Performance. Mike Meyers received the MTV Generation Award and Sacha Baron Cohen earned Best Comedic Performance for Borat.

Transformers won the amazingly lame Best Summer Movie You Haven’t Seen award. Yeah the MTV Awards are supposed to be irreverent and tongue-in-cheek, but having what amounts to a “Movie That Could Be Cool Maybe” category was just stupid. So let’s just call it what it really is, a thinly veiled marketing promo for Transformers.
