Hanso Foundation Sublymonal Commercial

subLYMONal

The Hanso Foundation’s secret partner

Lots of new Lost Experience info got dropped last night. The Hanso Foundation commercial aired again with a slight change. This time it tells you to go to www.sublymonal.com at the end with the narrator emphasizing the “lymon” part, which was our first clue.

My astute readers have noted that the commercial was paid for by Sprite. You may remember that Sprite had an old ad campaign years ago based on the lymon, a magical half lime and half lemon hybrid fruit. I found a fairly interesting article about Sprite’s new ad campaign and reintroduction of the lymon, but there’s no mention of any Lost connection.

New Sprite Ads Border on Bizarre

The ads, which sign off with “Obey,” an echo of the 12-year-old “Obey your thirst” tagline, stray far from the brand’s hip-hop, basketball roots. Creative reintroduces the “lymon” concept amidst a wash of trippy imagery best seen in slow motion and, in theory, less likely to be TiVo-ed over.

The subLYMONal site has a flash puzzle with the word “OBEY” in the center. “Obey Your Thirst” is, of course, Sprite’s slogan. Thanks to the reader that provided the (spoiler warning) sublymonal puzzle solution.
